Medical Massage - the most obvious difference between medical massage and other forms of bodywork is the fact that medical massage is performed on persons who have diseases, conditions and syndromes diagnosed by a physician or chiropractor. Medical massage is limited to a specific area of the body, a full body massage is not needed. The duration of the session is between 30 and 45 minutes. After the first session the patient is given at least 2 days rest to determine the patients reaction to initial treatment. Usually 5-15 visits will be required depending on the pathology.
