Swedish Massage is the a form of massage people are most familiar with.  This involves long, flowing, gliding strokes in the direction of blood flow to the heart. The therapist uses light to moderate pressure. Swedish massage can be an important component of your health maintenance or wellness program. It keeps the mind and body functioning at its best as well as allowing you restore balance in todays hectic fast paced schedule.

Some benefits of Swedish Massage are

  • Promotes well- nourished skin
  • Improves circulation of blood and lymph
  • Relaxes muscular tension and improves joint mobility

  • Enhances tissue elasticity

Deep-Tissue Massage is also known as medical massage because the goal is to address a specific complaint or injury whether acute or chronic pain is involved. Deep tissue massage is a heavier pressure massage focused on specific muscle groups in order to treat a specific complaint such as sciatica, tension headaches or general upper back and neck pain. A session of deep tissue massage typically runs between 30 and 60 minutes and requires frequent multiple visits during the course of the first 4 weeks.
Deep Tissue Massage is useful in treating the following conditions.

  • Acute and chronic muscular back pain
  • TMJ
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
